1. Yes / No Questions
[ Auxiliary / Modal + Subject + Main Verb? ]
Starts directly with an auxiliary or modal verb. Requires a concise confirmation or denial.
• Are you ready? — Yes, I am. / No, I'm not.
• Did she arrive? — Yes, she did. / No, she didn't.
• Did she arrive? — Yes, she did. / No, she didn't.

2. Wh- Questions (Open)
[ Wh- Word + Auxiliary / Modal + Subject + Main Verb? ]
QUASM Rule: Question Word + Auxiliary + Subject + Main Verb. Seeks specific information.
• Where do you live? — In Riyadh.
