⚠️ Critical Arabic L1 Fossilization Rules for Past Simple Questions:
1. The "Did" Absorber Rule: When did or didn't is present, it absorbs the past tense. The following main verb MUST remain in its pure base form (e.g. “Did you go?”, NOT *“Did you went?”*).
2. Subject vs Object Questions: When Who asks about the subject (the person who did the action), do not use did: say “Who called you?”. When Who asks about the object (the person you called), use did: say “Who did you call?”.
